Arrival in Skopje and transfer to hotel. Get the first insight into your tour with your guide at the welcome drink in your hotel and take a tour through the capital of Macedonia: the new part with numerous monuments for the project “Skopje 2014”and over the Stone Bridge, to the maze of cobblestoned streets of the Old Bazaar. Welcome dinner with your group and your guide in an old Ottoman inn, and night out in the wine club in the Old Town.

Start the day with visit of Kokino, the 4th oldest Megalythic observatory in the world! Continue to the jewel of Byzantine art, a XIV century church near Kokino, and continue to the wine region. Take a tour of King Alexander’s winery, a living museum of winemaking since 1924! Visit the wine museum in Demir Kapija, to see where, and how winemaking started in Macedonia over 2000 years ago. Up on the hills where king’s watchtower took place once, today stands another boutique winery and chateau hotel, with a 360 degrees view from its tower over the surrounding wine yards and the rocky Iron Gate.

Following the wine route we come to a sacred place, a monastery built on the remnants of a XIII century church, with over 20 sacred springs which are believed to have healing waters – each one for a different Saint. Hear the story of the fairy springs and their miraculous powers. Continue to a small winery in Negotino region, where your host will be the enologist, a professional who literally “lives for the wines” and creates them with so much passion that you can feel with every sip you take during the lunch with winetasting of 8 premium wines.

Today we’ll drive up to the vineyards on the hills above Negotino, where you will have the opportunity to take direct role in the production: in the way it used to be done centuries ago. So, roll up your sleevs, and start picking and crushing those sunny grapes. And if you are still up to “hard work” you can join our chef and take part in cooking Macedonian meze and lunch. It will be paired with a selection of Tikvesh premium wines.

The first winery today is our little surprise. It is not famous, they haven’t won any world recognized award, they have never been internationally recognized! Why visit it? Because the great Marshal Tito’s sommelier asked for their wine!We’ll take a tour of the latest technology advancements in wine production, and of their sophisticated cellars, and taste some premium wines paired with famous Galichnik cheese, smoked meat and lunch. Back in Skopje, we reserved your last evening in Macedonia for the best: the Kamnik winery!

Free morning to relax by the chateau, or, to have some fun in the shooting range of Kamnik. There are one open and one closed shooting ranges within the property, with great choice of guns, gunshots and pistols. Transfer for your flight back home.
