Meeting with your guide at hotel lobby in the morning. Departure to Bitola. Our first stop will be the archeological site Heraclea , founded by the father of Alexander the Great, Philip II. This ancientcity was named after the mythical hero Heracles - the protector of the greatest ancient Macedonian royal dynasty. The center of the ancient region Lynkestidia, called by today's residents Bitola field, also goes by the name of Heraclea Lyncestis. This is a site with time-preserved courtrooms, theater from the Roman era, as well as residences and basilicas of Christian period, and exhibition of coins, jewelry and other items used by residents of this city.

Bitola is the second largest city in Macedonia and one of the oldest and most beautiful ones. This city, with a long urban tradition of 1600 years, represents a blend of the past and the present, tradition and urban living, which is especially present on the main city street “Sirok Sokak” (wide alley). This is a street of authentic traditional works and buildings, but also of modern and exclusive shops and cafes. From a historical point of view, Bitola is known as the City of Consuls because of the consular representatives of many countries which were (and still are) in this city at the time when the Ottoman Empire was an important administrative, political, diplomatic, educational, scientific and cultural center.

After Shirok Sokak we will visit the Clock Tower, St Dimitrija church, St Virgin Mary church and the City Museum with the memorial room of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic.
Further visit of the part of Ottoman heritage: Ajdar Kadi Mosque, Yeni mosque, Isak mosque.
Lunch in a restaurant at Shirok Sokak. Departure back to Ohrid in the afternoon.
